Discover the beauty of the medieval city of Segovia on a comfortable full-day excursion from Madrid by private car. Located 90 km north of the capital, Segovia was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1985. This city preserves Roman monuments, a magnificent cathedral, and a fairytale castle. On our tour, we will visit the most emblematic monuments: the Roman aqueduct built almost 2,000 years ago, the Gothic cathedral, and the medieval Alcázar, a beautiful palace-fortress that has served as a royal residence and military stronghold throughout the centuries. We will enjoy the traditional Castilian lifestyle by strolling through the lively squares and streets of the old town and could taste the famous roast suckling pig at a local restaurant. Before our return journey, we'll head to the Royal Palace of La Granja, just a few kilometers from Segovia. This beautiful French-style palace, surrounded by Baroque gardens and the former summer residence of the Kings of Spain, will be the perfect end to this tour filled with history and beauty.
